Many service providers block the standard port 25 for outgoing mail. It would be nice if the wizard would care to ask if this ought to be changed before use.
I am not sure how many users would also like to immediately change the IMAP server directory as well, though I always prefer to do it and set it to INBOX.
It would also be very nice to be able to enter your password at the same token and also be able to test the configuration to see if it works the same way like you can test it in Outlook.

Duplicate of bug 422814 - the new account wizard (not enabled by default yet) will provide for adjusting/detecting configuration of smtp before account creation, and it also provides methods to test the proposed configuration.
