Install the latest netscape6 bits and latest PSM1.3.
Log into the DB. The moment you login a small window with some garbage as title
opens up , most of the time in the left top corner of the desktop. I can close
the window and keep doing my work.

Reopening. This doesn't happen when changing passwords, but it does when logging
into the db while restoring a cert.

Is there a similar bug filed somewhere else? What version of PSM are you using?
Does this still happen if you use a daily commercial build without changing the
version of PSM that comes with it?

I'm using the 9/5 PSM build and also the 8/2 PSM build that is installed with
the commercial build. Upon closer inspection, the small window is actually
appearing when entering the portable security password when restoring a cert and
not when entering the Personal Security Passwork for the PSM Private keys
security device, or when changing passwords.
Since this did not happen when the 8/2 version of PSM was initially installed,
it seems as if this is actually a regression somewhere else and not a PSM bug.

-sigh- I'll investigate and see which component is causing this behavior.
the small window comes up whenever I enter the db password the first time. It
could be any operation for that matter. Just logging in , restore, SDR anything
which need to db to be opened.
I am using the daily build of netscape6 and 9/5 psm1.3.
It does not happen on linux for me.
jst,

Any ideas what could cause the small window to pop up?

this also occurs using IMAP SSL everytime the user logs into mail.
Now that the Advanced tab works, attempting to login to the PSM Private Keys by
clicking on the login button states that I am entering the wrong password. Linux
and Win98.
Priority: P3 → P2
This url crashes the 091921 commercial linux build. win98 and Mac are OK.
The comment above belongs in a different bug. Marking this bug a dupe of bug 51619
