loading a large document with file: does no progressive rendering. for example, save turbogeek.org/mozilla/penguincode.html locally. its 500k of colored text. it is read fully before anything is rendered.... 4.7 renders it very smoothly, allowing you to few the first 100 lines immediatly. linux 08/26 build.

AFAIK, we are doing the incremental loading. CCing vidur and johnny for more input. But the bug as such is not such a high priority at stage of the project..so am FURTURing it.

Deeply nested FONT tags is the source of the problem. I don't think this is anything to do with file:. Marking this bug a dependent of bug 56182.
