So now TB displays indexing and it's status in AM. (Btw, was indexing also done before, but just quietly in the backround? And how often will it run?)
However the AM fails to be more specific when you have multiple accounts ie it is not saying which account's folder is being indexed. Take a look at the screenshot.
Reproducible: Didn't try

This is the new search it needs to index your emails first, in order to find them.
When messages are moved though we know which account is being affected. for indexing it's not clear.
Confirming.
Blocks: activitymgr
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: General → Mail Window Front End
Ever confirmed: true
QA Contact: general → front-end
Also another rather pequliar behaviour. I did a clean install of TB:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre) Gecko/20090913 Shredder/3.0b4pre
After having added my first IMAP account, this is the very disorganized list that was produced my the AM.

FWIW, the amount of logging will be greatly reduced, per bug 493848
