User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: latest There are 26 different ways to display a "City State Zip-Code" line in an address around the world, and even if the Country is named correctly, Thunderbird still display, for example, Brazilian addresses with Zip on the right as it would normally do for an American address. For example the correct display of a Brazilian address would be: 22460-040 Rio de Janeiro RJ and many other variations like address in England having a two line for City and Zip-code these days. It would be really nice for Thunderbird to display the addresses as they are supposed to, accounting for location of the Zip, existence of commas (,), country letter code, one or two line display and many other variation. I have built an application at UC Berkeley to build addresses for mailing of journals that account for all possible 26 variation in place among the 249 countries in the world and would gladly share the information for building a proper display in Thunderbird. This is covered as part of bug 160601, specifically bug 160601 comment #53 and following, also have a look at the mockup in attachment 224046 [details]. I'm marking this as a duplicate, there hasn't been much progress in that bug recently though. Maybe you can add your suggestions there, and along with the ideas for a possible implementation it may happen.
