Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 When copy pasting in Javascript editors such as HTMLArea, an unhelpful security alert popup appears. In stead, a GUI element should appear, perhaps like the ones for popups, that gives the user the option to allow copy/paste for the site she is on, one time or permanently. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to copy/paste in a web browser using control-c or control-v. Actual Results: An unhelpful security warning popup with a link to a too complicated site for the layperson. Expected Results: Show an option on top of the browser, like for popups, to allow copy/paste for this web page once or permanently. I filed this request for enhancement because one of my customers who uses a CMS with HTMLArea to edit her web page was ready to move back from Firefox to IE because there was no easy way for her to enable copy/paste for her web site. I think many people will encounter this bug as Javascript editors like HTMLArea are getting very popular these days on the web.
