http://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/file/default/suite/locales/en-US/chrome/branding/brand.properties uses %LOCALE%.add-ons.mozilla.org domain names, which have broken certs and therefore should be removed from SeaMonkey, for now replacing .org with .com, which has a working cert and redirects correctly to addons.mozilla.org in the end. Bug 497072 will fix this correctly some time later, but it needs changes on the server-side which we can't depend our 2.0 release on.

As said in comment #0, for now we'll use .com, that's what Firefox uses and what has the right certs. The right long-term solution will be left to the previous bug and its dependencies. For 2.0, we just want to get rid of the invalid cert warnings. Right now, only the themes (in View > Apply Theme > Get New Theme) and dictionaries (textfield context menu > Languages > Download More Dictionaries) are actually accessible through UI as we hide the links in the Add-Ons Manager since we have the "Get Add-ons" pane there.

Pushed as http://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/18f9f77a323a I'll also post to m.d.l10n as this is a localized pref change that doesn't go along with an ID change.

Me too is convince to post to m.d.l10n as this is a localized pref change that doesn't go along with an ID change. And it will really work..
