indicate bug's status for bugzilla keyword topcrash
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #418856 +++ along the lines of Bug 418856 and for better topcrash management ... when citing bug(s), indicate bug's status for keyword topcrash. IOW list topcrash, topcrash+ and topcrash- if they are notated as such in the bug.

perhaps even better would be a periodic (weekly?) management report citing bugs which match top X signatures and don't have topcrash keyword.
Component: Socorro → General
Product: Webtools → Socorro
I don't really think we should do this, the decisions about what is listed as topcrash or not are not 100% rank-based but also based on bug/crash management decisions which IMHO can't be automated. Sheila, what's your opinion on this?
(In reply to Robert Kaiser (:email@example.com) from comment #3) > I don't really think we should do this, the decisions about what is listed > as topcrash or not are not 100% rank-based but also based on bug/crash > management decisions which IMHO can't be automated. Agreed, that automation of what bugs have topcrash in bugzilla, is not possible. And that is not the goal of this bug. The goal is to aid the manual process so that the right bugs get the most attention, not necessarily to ensure that all bugs in top X should be marked topcrash. So permit me to clarify: - Thunderbird doesn't have a dedicated team of people managing crashes. In fact no one that watches crashes is dedicated solely to crash management. - It is time consuming to check bugzilla after looking at Socorro to see if a bug has topcrash keyword. Therefore ... - When looking at any signature in Socorro (whether in topcrash list or not), it would be helpful to know if the bug is marked topcrash - because perhaps the bug should be topcrash, perhaps not. perhaps it is new, perhaps it is an explosive crash, etc. - If socorro is all about crashes, then why would one not want to expose info from bugzilla that is directly relevant to it's "crash status". I'm short on time, so the above is a quick attempt at explaining why I filed the bug.
two more items: - I don't presume to know what Firefox folks need or want - (regarding comment 0) probably one indicator for all three topcrash keywords would do. We probably don't need to differentiate. KISS

(encountered this problem again - this time with bug 616222 was missing topcrash designation for probably a year)
Sounds like there is nothing for me to do here. Kairo is the right person to handle any next action.
