Gmail is my favority e-mail , and I like to see all features on the thunderbird.
1.Change the name TAG to LABEL
2..See labels with colors like gmail (with color font customize like labs from gmail). Like a folder (see the screenshot )
3.Labels to manage inside pop and imap account (or another new technology to improve). For I that i want to get my labels where I go (to promote API for that )
4.To each account use diferent labels (gmail don't have yet I think)

and
To "columns" (exemple: subject,from, date..."label")
5. Use labels with colors like gmail (see on the screenshot)
6. Set to default installation this order to columns:
[star][messages treads][from or sent][read] ["LABEL"] [subject][attachments][junk][time]

Expected Results:  
With label folder

If someone wants to work on for example, adding tag-based views to the folder pane, that should now be relatively simple using just a bit of javascript.

Erik, thank you for your proposal. We understand it's meant as a concept, but it will be difficult to act upon because it's many things in one bug. Some aspects are already covered by other bugs (like no. 3, having tags in the folder pane as virtual folders), and some are unlikely to get implemented (like no. 6, changing default order of columns). 

I think the screenshot is essential to understand your concept. But it's very small and fuzzy, because it was shrinked. Can you provide a real-size and crisp screenshot? (gif or png) Please attach it to this bug by using "Add an attachment" command at the top of bug page (after removing personal data as you did in the first one).

Which means: In the screenshot, the 2nd message in msg list has the suggested color labels in the column grid (apart from the other changes proposed and also in the screenshot).

Suppose there are two little pieces not covered in Bug 472518, colored tags in message list column, and the contextual menu on the virtual tag folders that Bug 472518 seeks to introduce.

No, bug 370076 is very different, as it's focused on *applying* tags by typing words on the fly or picking from list (like in FF yellow star bookmark dialogue), whereas this bug and bug 472518 is about *presentation* of already tagged messages (like FF bookmarks library/manager).

Good point. Would be interesting to find out which aspect of gmail labels is most popular there.

Perhaps we could keep this as a meta bug, the features surely need breaking up.
