STR:Rename or remove any existing Mozilla and Firefox profiles! Also make sure you are not running Mozilla or Firefox while doing this. Start Opera and do the following: Add some bookmarks, like facebook.com, twitter, etc. Surf around to get some cookies and global history. Set your home page, e.g., to google or wherever. Save passwords: Go to Bugzilla, login and save password Quit Opera. Start Firefox. Import from Opera Type some URLs you know were in your Opera bookmarks and browsing history Expected Results: Bookmarks are imported into Firefox Actual Results: Nothing is imported Someone might say that there are very few Opera users so this doesn't matter, but wouldn't it be nice if we converted those few Opera users to firefox?

According to a friendly Opera user on the French Geckozone forum, Opera has modified some file and path name with Opera 10 and later. File format should be unchanged. opera6.ini -> operaprefs.ini Default path (here on Windows): %appdata%\Opera\<nom_dossier_install_Opera>\profile\opera6.adr -> %appdata%\Opera\<nom_dossier_install_Opera>\bookmarks.adr %appdata%\Opera\<nom_dossier_install_Opera>\profile\cookies4.dat -> %appdata%\Opera\<nom_dossier_install_Opera>\cookies4.dat %appdata%\Opera\<nom_dossier_install_Opera>\profile\global.dat -> %appdata%\Opera\<nom_dossier_install_Opera>\global_history.dat (similar changes on mono-user install and under Linux, maybe on Mac OS). Hope it helps.
Still an issue on Firefox 3.6.24 on Windows Vista 32. No settings (bookmarks, cookies, homepage, saved passwords, history) are imported from Opera 11.52.
The opera migrator is dead some time ago, a new migrator is expected to be written in bug 707601, this this bug has no more reason to exist.
