The line (1px tall) is visible on both top corners. It seems quite dependent on the geometry of the window. This was caused by bug 456303.

Seen with the RC build - Version 2.0 (1.9.0.15 2009102617), and with my home made build 2.1a1pre

(the screenshot was taken with 5 tabs and a window ~1140px by ~850px)
More than the geometry of the window and the number of tabs, this issue seems dependent on the number of lines of text on the toolbars/bookmark bar combo. Odd number shows the problem. Even number works fine.

I first saw the problem with the 'Icons only' setting on the toolbar and 1 row BM bar. Making the window narrower (BM bar wraps, 2 rows) made the problems disappear.

Similarly, 1 row BM bar with 'Icons & Text' on the toolbar would not display the issue.

Jeff, will your NSControl patch fix this (if it ever comes into existence)?

If this gets fixed in 2.1 (short of an NSControl rewrite), we can take it in the appropriate 2.0.x.

On 10.6, with Camino 2.1a1 builds, this is really hard to see, if at all. I sometimes see a very faint 'something' in the upper left/right corners of the focus ring. Looks more like a 1x1px colourless pixel (and no, it is not dust on the monitor).
My kingdom for an NSControl!
