Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.23 (20090812)

I replied to an email and since no spelling mistakes were found in the top portion of my message the spell checker went past the text to the business contact info written in HTML & CSS and embedded as HTML. It read the CSS fonts and complained. Seems to me the spell checker should know not to go between tagged code?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Replied to an email
2. In the resulting window I wrote some text (I have the settings such that the cursor goes to the top, above the existing text)
3. Hit Spell check and it entered the CSS used in the signature file
Actual Results:
See #3 above

Expected Results:
Spell check does not run on CSS or HTML tags.

Thank you, I like Thunderbird a lot!
I'm pretty sure this is fixed in thunderbird 3.0b4 could you give it a try and comment on the fact that it's fixed there ?
It seems still open and dupe of bug #223440.

Good point. Maybe I should start using an HTML signature.

Yes, it is a duplicate of bug#223440. Thanks for the early release download URL. I installed Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0 Beta 4 (3.0b4) which was stated to fix the issue but that build does not fix this bug. Upon launching a new message and running spell check the checker goes right into the HTML & CSS of the signature.
