Fred Plourde is an external contractor who has been working on Electrolysis and could really use access to tryserver and user repos. Can we please give him an account for that (not for mozilla-central). Not sure what level of vouching is required for this.
We can get him try server access by just getting him a normal LDAP account, but we can't give him access to user repos, as we have no such policy for that. Prior discussions with Mitchell and Gerv have stated that we will most likely not be adding policy for access just to user repos either. Would just try server access (via the web interface only; no hg push-to-try) work for his needs?

Yes. What additional steps would be necessary to give him access to the electrolysis project repo but not mozilla-central?

http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/committer/committers-agreement.pdf is the link to the form which will need to be returned to Erica McClure with the bug number referenced.
Ok, I'll fill in the form immediately. thanks !
I have received Fred's form.
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Commit_Policy:Current_Procedures usually requires 2 vouchers, but if there is no one else besides bsmedberg I am okay with moving this one over.
wait, I'm getting someone else to vouch for me.
Over to server-ops for LDAP account creation.

Need your ssh key to get you mercurial access. I created an LDAP account for you that should let you get into the try server stuff. Please attach your public key here and I will finish the rest of it.

Summary: Please give Fred Plourde access to tryserver → Hg Account Request - Fred Plourde <bugzillaFred@gmail.com>
I was counting Benjamin as the other voucher so I think we are okay here. Back over to server-ops.

(In reply to comment #2) > Yes. What additional steps would be necessary to give him access to the > electrolysis project repo but not mozilla-central? So here's the issue. Without hg_mozsrc, he can't commit to electrolysis. Granting hg_mozsrc = he gets access to mozilla-central. How do you guys want to work this out?

Electrolysis should be a project repository like the others... I don't know what LDAP groups are involved, but I was pretty sure there was a way to grant access to the project repos (or to particular project repos?) without mozilla-central.
drwxrwsr-x 3 hg hg_mozsrc 4096 May 30 19:40 electrolysis That means he needs hg_mozsrc or it won't work. I'm not sure why electrolysis is this way, some other projects have their own perms too.
In this bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495310) you asked for electrolysis to have the same ACLs as mozilla-central. Do you want to change that now to let anyone (that has mercurial access) check into it?
That's fine, yes.
Depends on: 495310
Frederic should be able to commit fine now.
