Note: this is a meta tracking bug for UI mockups and discussion of the overall user experience.
Follow up bug from 523526, we need to add a command "View all History" to the bottom of the back and forward recent history menu, particularly on platforms like Windows Vista and 7 which are losing the menu bar, but is also generally useful on all platforms. The item should be under a seperation bar, and should launch the Library window, similar to the current History > Show All History" command.

since backward-forward is per tab, wouldn't it be more logical to add this command to the address bar pull down menu (which contains global content)?

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".
In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.
Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.

I think this would add confusion on the top of the currently confusing invisible separation between session and global history.
They are currently different in various cases, this change would make look like global history is a larger view of session history, but that's totally untrue (even more in private browsing mode)
