Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009090216 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.14 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009090216 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.14 If I define "wp " as a keyword for a search engine, it doesn't work the expected way. Entering "wp searchword" in the address bar searches with the default search engine (google). "wp searchword" (note, two spaces) also does not search with the search engine I specified. Solution: Edit search engine keyword to NOT have space[s] at the end "wp " -> "wp" OK this is a user problem but I think it could be avoided by automatically stripping off (trim) any spaces from the beginning and end of any user-entered search keyword. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a search keyword for a search engine, with a space on the end (.e.g. "wp ") 2. In the address bar, enter the keyword and a searchword, e.g. "wp ferret" and press enter Actual Results: Firefox searches for "ferret" with the default search engine, not the one specified in step 1. Expected Results: Firefox would search for "ferret" with the search engine specified in step 1. easily fixed by the user: he can remove any trailing spaces from the keyword
