on my n810 maemo 1.9.2 nightly multi-locale build, I turn my device into fr locale and firefox is as well.  I test the search providers and find that google goes to the correct fr localized search results page, but yahoo, amazon, and wikipedia all are english
Did you use a new profile?
I just retested this with a new profile and the bug remains as filed.
We're working on a good list of search engines for French in bug 521990. Marking as duplicate.
