Importing Mail - Testcase failed (No folder selection)
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:126.96.36.199) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 GTB5 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.0 RC1 build1 Testcase: 1. Go to Tools | Import 2. Click on the "Mail" radio button 3. Await a dialog which pops up, asking you which mail program to import the mail from. 4. Click on the name of the Email program to import from 5. You should get another dialog which asks you to navigate to the mail directory where your mail resides. 6. If time permits, you can try importing an address book or mail settings. Step 5 does not happen. No selection. It just imports ALL directories / folders of Outlook, even from ALL used / opened .pst-files. Huge amount of mails. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 100% (see above) 2. 3. Actual Results: Imports ALL mail. Expected Results: Mail should be imported from the directory you have specified into Thunderbird.
Rolf, is this something that worked in version 2? And is your step 4 really about picking Outlook? If the answer is no and yes, then it's an existing bug and probably shouldn't block bug 524434.

Rolf when you do that are there any messages in Tools -> Error console ?
I had lots of entries in the error console. Reading through them, finding references to extension directories. So I deactivated ALL add-ons, including lightning and dictionaries. There are no entries anymore. Note: All my open (Outlook-) .pst-files together are close to 1GB! Import took quite a while but after all finished successfully. Just not the way the test case asked for! => No selection for directories / folders to import.
