Now that they all look the same, we now have duplicate entries in the dictionary list.

Isn't that the distro's fault?  Granted, the Mozilla code could work around that, but should it?  Or should the distros fix their dictionary installer scripts to not create these duplicates in the first place?

Perhaps Debian and Ubuntu should create a local patch against Mozilla and redact it after a transitional period?  (Or are there other distros than the Debian-based ones with this problem?  See #514151 for a bit more background.)
Indeed, this is Debian/Ubuntu's problem. They need to remove the symlinks they added in order to work around this problem, which is now fixed.
