STR

tb3 rc1 build 3, fresh install, new profile (not default client)

1) 283 mails on pop3 server
2) smart folders view, msg list default sort by date ascending
3) get messages, enter password for pop3
4) compare new mail notification (biff) with downloaded messages in msg list

actual
- all msgs download correctly, new mail notification (biff) pops up from system tray
- first 3 messages (as per msg date ascending), as seen in msg list, are NOT listed on the new mail notification from system tray (biff)
- biff only shows messages 4-7 from the list
(note that there's no filters, no nothing)

expected

- first 3 messages received (as in msg list) should be listed as first 3 msgs in biff notification

Thomas, does this still occur? and is it always the first 3 messages regardless of mail contents?

sorry, don't have the time to install afresh with new profile to test this. but STR are straightforward so anyone with a larger bunch of messages on a pop3 server can test.

I cannot reproduce using current nightly on windows

Comment 2 still applies, but I guess after this many years, it might have gone, and this is really minor.

Having said that, BIFF mostly does the wrong thing for me, because when there are plenty untouched messages (having Biff star), then a few new messages coming in on top of that, it'll always show the old list, never the new messages. That might be by design, but it's useless design imho, as there's no point of showing the same messages in BIFF which I have already been alerted to before, but not showing the most recently arrived messages.
