User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_2; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.21.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.4 Safari/531.21.10 Build Identifier: TB v3.0 RC1 After updating from TB v2.0.0.22 (or whatever is the latest version), I now have 2 Trash folders in the Smart Folders view, each of which containing the same contents. The All Folders view shows only one. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Only one folder should appear in the Smart Folders view.

Are you suing imap , pop ? Anyhting in tools -> Error conosle ? Does it happen in safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ?

I'm using POP. Nothing in the Error console. The Safe Mode page isn't loading right now; I'll try again later and update this bug accordingly.

If you look into your prefs.js file while thunderbird is closed do you see duplicate entries for : mail.server.serverXX.trash_folder_name ?

In my <profile>/prefs.js file there are zero entries for "*trash_folder_name*"

David, in "Local Folders" do you have custumized "Junk settings" and set to move Junk to trash folder (of "Local Folders")? If yes, try if you have the same issue when set junk to move to "Junk" folder on local folders.

Aureliano, I tried your suggestion and it worked! The second "Trash" sidebar entry turned into "Junk". Thanks!

str |
All OS related. STR (steps to reproduce): 1. change folders view to All. 2. in account settings change junk setting option "Move new messages to" to "Other" -->Local Folders-->Trash; 3. change folders view to smart: two trash appairs.

Still reproducible? (comment 10)
Well, I cannot make it past to step 3. There is no View > Folder > Smart View. Not doing something wrong or looking in the wrong place, am I?
