User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Pressing the ' or the / key brings up the appropriate find box, even when accessibility.typeaheadfind is set to false. This makes the preferences item under: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General Tab -> "Search for text when I start typing" Completely pointless and useless. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General Tab and verify that the box is not checked for "Search for text when I start typing". 2. Run "about:config" and confirm that accessibility.typeaheadfind is set to false, showing its disabled. 3. On any webpage hit the ' or the / key and notice the find comes up. Actual Results: The find as you text prompts come up, even though find as you type is disabled. Expected Results: Nothing should happen.
