I use Thunderbird with an IMAP account (gmail). In this account I created a virtual folder so that I don't have to go through a hugh amount of messages in order to see a few important ones. Every time I want to go offline, Thunderbird tries to download all messages. In the middle of this I always get this error message: Unknown Mailbox: <virtual folder name> (now in authenticated state) (Failure) After confirming the error dialog, the remaining messages are downloaded. However it is quite annoying to see the error dialog every time.
This work for me with 3.0. Do you have the same issue in safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ? Are you folders nested ? Anything in Tools -> Error Console when this happens ?
actually I don't see it anymore using TB 3.0 (final). Done :-)
