User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-3.1 Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091130 SUSE/3.0.0-12.1 Thunderbird/3.0 I have to migrate from Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 to Thunderbird 3.0. I create a RSS Feeds account and add a News Feed to this account. If I want to read a news directly from the website, it shows always as a summary of the news. The feeds account or the feeds itself isn't affected by the settings. Workaround in the settings (about:config): rss.show.summary = 0 (as Integer) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a RSS Feeds account 2. Add a the URL to a RSS Feeds 3. After downloading News Feeds, look the news. Actual Results: Shows only as summary of the news Expected Results: Shows website of the news

If I add a news feed, so I have not activate other options. This isn't correct for me, because I don't want a summary. I want to view directly the website of the news in Thunderbird. So, I have to do a workaround to deactivate the summary. Without Workaround it shows, p.e.: From - Wed, 09 Dec 2009 11:05:00 GMT X-Mozilla-Status: 0001 X-Mozilla-Status2: 00000000 X-Mozilla-Keys: Date: Wed, 09 Dec 2009 11:05:00 GMT Message-Id: <http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Novell-will-die-Cloud-intelligent-verwalten-880883.html/from/atom10@localhost.localdomain> From: <heise online> MIME-Version: 1.0 Subject: Novell will die Cloud intelligent verwalten Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Base: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Novell-will-die-Cloud-intelligent-verwalten-880883.html/from/atom10 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 <html> <head> <title>Novell will die Cloud intelligent verwalten</title> <base href="http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise-atom.xml"> </head> <body id="msgFeedSummaryBody" selected="false"> Novell will die Cloud intelligent verwalten </body> </html> Thunderbird should be display the content of the news from a website: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Novell-will-die-Cloud-intelligent-verwalten-880883.html
I have contact with other Thunderbird user. They have migrated from TB 2.x to TB 3.x (various OS) too. They have the same problem with rss feeds (only summary) and TB 3.x doesn't display the news from website. It works only with this workaround.
