User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2b5) Gecko/20091204 Firefox/3.6b5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0 The get all new messages should become the default choice. For those who use Thunderbird for more than just one email account, i.e. two email accounts and seven RSS subscriptions, having to click on the tiny down arrow beside the get messages button every time that you want to check your messages and feeds is very annoying and a huge waste of time. If if don't click on the tiny arrow and then click on the get all new messages button, then only the messages from my first account are downloaded whereas ideally all my messages from both my accounts and all my feeds should be downloaded. This should be the same sentiment with the general population and I cannot see a valid reason to make everybody click around small areas and have too use more than one click when they could simply use one click on one large button. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Have an email account 2.Have a second email account 3.Subscribe to some feeds Actual Results: You now have to waste your time with tiny drop down menus just to get what you needs from #'s 2 and 3. Expected Results: The default should be set to where when I click get mail, all my new messages and feeds get downloaded.
Leaving UNCO for UI (clarkbw?) to confirm if desired.

+1: The best solution is to change the default of the toolbar button "Get Mail", so that it checks for all accounts. (The current behavior is annoying and costs a lot of time.) But if that is not possible, could you at least add a toolbar button to Thunderbird, which checks for all accounts, e.g. "Get All Mail"?
