View ->Layout ->[ ] MessagePane 2. message pane is hidden 3. restart Thunderbird 4. open any message folder 5. message pane is visible again Actual Results: There is no way to save settings for the message pane. Expected Results: Settings of message pane should have been saved while closing program. To hide the message pane helps to increase security. If message pane is hidden you avoid to show unwanted spam mails.

I don't really think this is critical, but this behavior is reproducible nonetheless. And it's quite annoying.
