Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0
I upgraded from the previous latest version to v3.0 and some of the add-ins were disabled. I subsequently uninstalled them (I did not use them anyway) and then found I had 28 copies of Local Folders. I have 7 POP3 accounts within Thunderbird and there was one Local folder which contained a copy of imported emails etc from Outlook Express, imported some years ago. It appears as though all the Local Folders (28 copies) now contain the old Outlook Express emails.
v3.0 now opens very quickly, but I had to change back the settings to original Classic view because I preferred it.
Reproducible: Always
Thunderbird appears to function ok, and I prefer it to the previous version. I would like to know how to delete most of the 28 copies of Local Folders. It is very irritating, never previously had an issue with Thunderbird over many years, using XP Pro, 32-bit.

28 is new world record of number of multiple "Local Folders".
Probably same problem as bug 505465 and/or bug 303542.
Check all next entries in prefs.js.
> mail.accountmanager.accounts
> mail.account.accountN.identities
> mail.account.accountN.server
> mail.server.serverX.hostname
> mail.server.serverX.userName
> mail.server.serverX.realhostname
> mail.server.serverX.realuserName
> mail.server.serverX.name
> mail.server.serverX.type
(Q1) Multiple mail.account.accountN.server ponit same serverX?
(Q2) Multiple mail.server.serverX.xxx have same mail.server.serverX.hostname
value and same mail.server.serverX.userName value?
Keep backup of prefs.js for future problem analysis, please.
And, to see same problem as bug 505465 or not first, attach all next entries in your prefs.js, please.
