User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; it; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091109 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 (20090817) I used to download messages with POP3 from ten different accounts but with "leave messages on server" option provided in POP3 account settings dialog. Then I got a "disk full" message box informing my disk was full and I could not download any mail. This was right. After having freed some space in my hard disk, Thunderbird begun to download ALL messages again, already downloaded but left on the server. After closing TB and starting again it started downloading again the third copy of each message. Reproducible: Always
Delete your popstate.dat file in your profile it's corrupted. Once done TB will redownload everything but once.
Version: unspecified → 2.0
Hello, is anyone working on fixing this? It's hell of annoying to periodically delete hundreds of messages stupid Thunderbird re-downloaded because it was even more stupid not to check disk space before starting with compacting!!!
Seems to be still a problem in TB3 now... The worst part is that Thunderbird cannot requery headers and restore popstate.dat from them and Inbox - so for a 1GB Inbox I need a spare gigabyte in /home which is not convenient...
