I don't see any missing menus in my Linux or Mac builds from today.
The menubar should be: File Edit View Insert Format Table Tasks Debug Help
Does it matter what theme you are using? I can't seem to reproduce this bug in
either theme.
Summary: menus missing in Composer → menus missing in Composer

Please retest. Install to a fresh directory, then make the directories read-only
as they would be for a normal user. Then this bug is reproducable. It's a child
o meta bug 41057.
If you run all these functions while root then some chrome stuff gets saved, and
then these items will appear.

This bug is not blocking bug 41057, the inverse seems true, althoug bugzilla
won't let me mark it that way.. really a dup, leaving open for verification.
No longer blocks: 41057

This bug does not trigger if i start composer as root before i start it as a
normal user. It triggers if i only start mozilla as root, but not other
components. As far as i can see it's related to bug 41057.
Not a 100% dup since it "triggered" so much later than that bug.
Earlyer it was only required to start the browser as root to register chrome,
before normal users could use all components. For the last weeks there seems to
be more funny stuff going on, and root has to start composer once as well.
Is there something about these two menu-items that make them different from the
others? Are they referred to in another file?
Anyways.. trudelle is correct: seems this bug is just an other unfortunate
sympthom of bug 41057.

R.K.Aa, are you still seeing this? Often missing menus are related to bad DTD
entities. Worksforme build 2000112304 win32.

R.K.Aa : I'm sorry I'd suggest marking this worksforme, because if such a thing
happened to anyone else, it would be confirmed by more people. Only you have
seen it, worksforme seems to be the only resolution here.

I already described under which circumstance it happens.
Chromes etc. are initiated better now - a WFM is fine with me.
I havent checked if it's still active - starting mailnews when installed, or
registering chromes, does the trick.
