Or someone who has a little expertise with TBird.

I recently upgraded to TBird3, for my XP, and it installed fine, as it nearly always does.

But when I invoked the program, via its desktop icon,
it threw up an error sub-screen stating that its "anti-spam" was quite incompatible with the anti-spam tool in my Kaspersky 2010 (AV, etc)

Now Tbird3 has nearly all of its TABS at the top shaded in grey,
and cannot send or receive any email at all.

My previous Tbird2.X worked fine with Kaspersky.

What are some suggestions to get this fixed ?

If anyone suggests that I un-install TBird3, firstly, how do I <save & restore> my previous email folders & files, given that nothing now works for TBird3 ?

The 'import' tool in TBird2.X had options for importing from Communicator4.X, Outlook, + 2 others.  

IT HAD NO OPTIONS FOR IMPORTING TBIRD EMAIL FILES !!!!

And could Mozilla and Kaspersky "make nice" and get this incompatibility fixed, pls?

You will need to talk to Kapershy. they need to update their addon. we can't fix their problem for them. For importing, I would go to http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/support/
