If a folder has a view filter applied and they aren't any messages in it, we currently leave the thread pane empty. It would be nice to have a helpful message displayed instead, possibly even with a link ("Display all messages in this folder") that removes the view filter.

What if we word it like this (show all messages is a button): No messages matches the selected filter [Show all messages] adding Bryan for feedback.

Maybe this is a new bug, but I get a situation where the "view mode" (View|Messages|All" is set to "all" and yet the inbox appears empty. If I switch to a custom view (e.g. View|Messages|Custom Views|Recent) then the emails magically appear. Their presence is given away by the use of the ExtraFolderColumns add-on which places the email counts in the folders pane. Windows XP SP3, TB 3.01, also Shredder 3.0.2pre I don't know how to replicate this bug on demand.
