User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100105 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

When I read emails that have 7z attachments and no text in the message body, the attachment appears within the message as hexadecimal characters(I think that's what they are called). Before clicking on the message, I can see the little icon indicating that there is an attachment. Once I click on the message, the icon disappears and the body-content-pane shows hexadecimal characters. Should be easy to reproduce.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send yourself a message with a 7-zip file.
2. Click on the message head.
3. See the problem.
Actual Results:
The pane at the bottom shows hexadecimal characters.

Expected Results:
Since the messages I received had no content, I would have expected the pane to be blank, except for the usual icon and filename at the bottom indicating an attachment.

If you cannot replicate the bug, send me a message and I can send some of the attachments that caused the problems. All are of the format name_2010-01-13.7z and contain several pdf files and one Excel file. Does not happen with the current release of Thunderbird.
Same problem as Bug 538407?
I cannot tell whether this is the same as Bug 538407 (I don't understand it). I can add that I have no problem with plain pdf attachments, only 7z.
