Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20100112 Shredder/3.2a1pre I would like to see the following tweaks to the "More" button behavior: 1. Show more than one recipient before the More button. I propose the number 3 because an informal survey of my mail indicates that most emails have 3 or fewer people on the To and CC lines. But I'd be happy with 4 or 5 as well. 2. Show the number of people that TB will display after I click. So instead of "More", it should say "3 More", or "45 More". I might even suggest making the button be a verb, as in "Show 4 more". 3. If the More button is only going to show 1 (or 2?) more address, don't show the button. Just show the addresses. 4. Is it possible to make the word "more" stand out more? Italics? Slightly different background color? Different foreground color?
Points (1) and (2) are addressed by bug 456596.

if you are unsure the issue doesn't already have a bug filed, please create bug as UNCO - filing NEW makes our triage process harder and the bug database less accurate. afaict bug 456596 doesn't address point #2, so morphing this bug to the single issue of #2. If you feel a need to address points 3, and 4, please file new bugs on those single issues
Severity: normal → enhancement
OS: Mac OS X → All
Summary: "More" button logic needs updating → "More" button should show the number of addresses that are not displayed
Wrong, bug 456596 attachment 421270 [details] [diff] [review] also solves the "x more" issue, so this is either a duplicate now or should be retargeted for #3 or #4.
The other option would be to leave it as is and close as "fixed by" if and when the patch for the blocking bug is checked in.
