Build Identifier: Thunderbird/3.0.1 ID:20100111101938
Should open to Inbox when Account Settings/Server Settings/Check for New Check for New Messages at Startup is checked (at least this is the way is has worked in the past with TB 2).
Will only open to Inbox on Startup if TB was closed while open to Inbox
This happens in safe mode as well.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Close when open to any folder other than Inbox
2.Start TB
3.Will open to the same folder that was open previously regardless of Check for New Messages at Startup status
Unless this is by design, I believe that when the Check for New Messages at Startup option is checked, TB should open to the Inbox.

there is an extension/add-on that provides this capability
Component: General → Folder and Message Lists
QA Contact: general → folders-message-lists

So then this is a behavior change by design?
In TB2, when the Check for New Messages at Startup option is checked, TB opens to the Inbox always
