Will NOT save any "sent" messages no matter what "sent" folder is selected. I used to use local "sent" folder but NO "sent" folder works now.

It is NOT saved anywhere. Not in any "sent" folder regardless of which send folder you select. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Write a new message. 2. Send message. 3. Go look for the sent message in any sent folder. It is NOT there!
New development. After a period of use, with no explanation, sent messages show up in Local Sent folder that I switched too after the new install. NO, this does not mean that starting and stopping Thunderbird made them show up! They just suddenly showed up after repeated use of the software. Maybe they will disappear again soon???????????
I've gone a hole day and the sent messages have not disappear yet so the missing sent messages problem may be fixed. I guess I would suggest that a person start then quit Thunderbird a few times. Then check where the saved messages go and maybe check the box for the place they want their sent messages again in "view settings, copies & folders" for each email name they are retrieving. In summary: After a few starts and quits of Thunderbird, the sent messages finally appeared but one start and quit & restart would not find them!
Resolving incomplete - as without more information there is not way to understand what happened. I've never seen this happening myself, and that's why I'm closing. Please reopen if you see the issue again and try to look in tools -> Error console for error messages.

I think this was a one time start-up with the new release issue. I have not seen it since either.

Confirm: (?) There was an error saving the message to Sent. Retry? [OK] [Cancel] it's back. a regression.
