Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.23 F and B keys work fine but Forward and Back buttons don't work. The buttons do not take you to next or previous message, which is most annoying. Otherwise Thunderbird is an execellent mail client. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Press Forward key in Thunderbird if its not greyed out 2.See where it takes you - if anywhere 3. Actual Results: Nothing - as forward & Back keys are greyed out! Expected Results: Forward should act the same as pressing key 'F' & Back should act the same as pressing key 'B' Forward should act the same as pressing key 'F' & Back should act the same as pressing key 'B'
Ahhh... these buttons are unnecessarily confusing, sorry. The toolbar forward and back buttons have nothing to do with the F and B shortcut keys; instead, they act like Firefox's back and forward buttons, moving through the history of messages. The Go menu tries to explain this, but is not perhaps very clear: Go Next > Message F Unread Message N […] Previous > Message B Unread Message P […] Forward ] Back [ […] Again, it's these last two commands that correspond to the Back and Forward buttons on the toolbar.
