See the attached mockup. Clearleft thinks our global nav is confusing and has proposed this alternative.

The tiny user icon isn't supported by us right now.  We can add another size of user picture with [z] (and/or begin supporting gravatar).

The rest of it looks fine.  Can they have a patch for the CSS?

The "My Account" menu will change to be the logged-in user's nickname if available, otherwise first + last name. "Edit Profile" should change to "Account Settings" and "View Profile" should change to "My Profile". Log out should be moved to a top-level item.

We can skip the profile picture for now.

Kicking to 4.x.  I think we should do this after all pages are moved to zamboni or else we'll be jumping back and forth between styles.  If you need it implemented sooner we can do it on remora as well, it'll just double up code/time.

Looks like this was all done except the names of the menu items.  Fixed in https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/a6dcc19312e1312dc23f48d7f955a8ab3d4404e8
