User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; es-ES; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; es-ES; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Hello. I'm the webmaster of a spanish forum that uses phpBB 3.0.3. The problem is that since I updated to Firefox 3.6 I don't see my forum well, and this only happens with Firefox 3.6, because in another computer than I still have Firefox 3.5 I see it perfect, and with other browsers like Chrome, Opera or IE8 I don't have this problem. Only with Firefox 3.6. I use Windows Vista, but I have asked in my forum to know if other users have the same problem, and a lot of people have said that they have the problem too with Mac OS X, Windows XP... and always since they updated to Firefox 3.6. I have the problem in my forum: http://www.extrasims.es/foro The problem is that when you visit it the first time since you opened the browser, you see the descriptions of each subforum moved to the left when they must be under the blue tittle. When you visit it a second time, or reload the page, it works perfect. It's very strange... That image is exactly what you can see with the bug: http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/2679/problemaconelforofirefo.png As you see, the texts is with the images, and it must be under the blue tittles... Visit my we with another browser like Chrome and you will see how it must look. I don't know anything about coding and I can't tell you more things, but this is a bug, and please, repair it! I want to see another time my web like since I updated to Firefox 3.6! :D Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I visit http://www.extrasims.es/foro 2. I see that the forum descriptions are moved to the left. 3. I reload the page. 4. Now, the forum descripcions are ok. It only happens with Firefox 3.6 Actual Results: First time, I see the forum descriptions moved to the left. The second time I see it fine. Expected Results: The forum descriptions must be under the blue tittles. It happens always, with all SO, but only with Firefox 3.6
Confirmed with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a2pre) Gecko/20100212 Minefield/3.7a2pre html5.enable to true makes no difference here.

I'd love to know how to reproduce this; seems to workforme consistently on trunk (on Mac) here...
I could reproduce it pretty consistently on page load but if that didn't work, CTRL-F5 usually would work as well. I was trying to get a testcase but it doesn't work when I save it ... Jesse on IRC was giving me some tips but no luck yet. Regression range: works: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090714 Minefield/3.6a1pre http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/9b4dd06e1c9d broken: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090715 Minefield/3.6a1pre http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/08c3952a49b3 http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=9b4dd06e1c9d&tochange=08c3952a49b3
Bug 499377 is in that range and blocks Bug 540020 which sounds similar.
The built in "Save Page As" doesn't handle that site perfectly. This add on seems better at it but I still can't reproduce locally. Is there a way to force firefox to "mimic" the way it behaved when online when it is local? Maybe by importing the "Net" data you can get from Firebug to force time delays. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/212
I can reproduce in linux. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6
Possible fallout from bug 499377, maybe, given the range in comment 3?

Hello. Is this bug solved? :) I'm the owner of that forum, who posted it... Why it only happens on Firefox 3.6?

Includes a testcase and a proxy to use the testcase locally. This testcase reproduces for me fairly frequently. STR (I used linux, so adjust accordingly): 1. Extract testcase somewhere 2. Create new firefox profile 3. Open firefox, go to http://www.extrasims.es/foro 4. "cd" into "http-recording-proxy" directory in terminal 5. Run proxy with "./TinyHTTPProxy.py --replay" (note HTTP proxy and port) 6. In firefox, Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Network->Connection->Settings (probably Tools->Options->... in windows). 7. Click "Manual Proxy Configuration" 8. Set "HTTP Proxy:" to "0.0.0.0" "Port:" to "8000" (unless step 5 gave you something different) "Check" "Use this proxy server for all protocols" 9. Click "OK" and "Close" to exit options menus. 10.Go to location bar and hit enter (CTRL-L and then Enter) 11.Bug might appear. If not, reload (CTRL-F5 or CTRL-SHIFT-R) and it should appear soon With the proxy, the testcase behaved strangely. I could not remove comments or join many lines because they would break the testcase. Not sure why that happened. When I saved the "proxy testcase" to run locally, I could reproduce the bug but not very often at all. I could also remove comments and join lines in the html file without breaking the testcase.
The script requires python and is courtesy of Jeff Muizelaar. Boris, can you reproduce with this?
It might be a few days until I get the chance to try the comment 9 steps. Thank you for putting them together!
We'd take a patch, but I can't see us blocking a release on this.

Are there any news? Every forum with phpbb in firefox 3.6.x and also 3.6.3 have this problem!
Easier steps to reproduce: 1. load http://www.extrasims.es/foro 2. enter in the URL bar: javascript:void(document.querySelector(".forum-image>img").style.width='5px') 3. press Ctrl-+ to zoom in 4. press Ctrl-0 to reset zoom 5. enter in the URL bar: javascript:void(document.querySelector(".forum-image>img").style.width='')

David, does that patch happen to fix any of the other regressions from bug 499377?
Comment on attachment 436936 [details] [diff] [review] patch a=LegNeato for 1.9.2.5. Please ONLY land this on mozilla-1.9.2 default, as we are still working on 1.9.2.4 on the relbranch

When this bug will be fixed in official version of mozilla firefox?
It'll be fixed in Firefox 3.6.6, which is currently scheduled to ship around the third week of July.
That'll actually be 3.6.7; 3.6.6 is a firedrill release shipping asap.
I've updated to Firefox 3.6.4 hoping that this bug will be solved but... it's still there!! Why hasn't it been released in Firefox 3.6.4?? I think it's so annoying to visit some phpBB3 forum with this problem... :S
Jaime, _please_ read bugs before commenting on them. In particular, note comment 22 (which comes down to "the patch was ready after effective code freeze for 3.6.4") and comment 28.
Sorry if I asked something that was answered. I don't understand about coding, bugs, etc. I only reported the bug when I noticed it and I'm waiting the solution because my forum (and every phpbb3 forum) can't be seen well if you use Firefox. Thanks for you response.
