This bug tracks the localization of the browserchoice.mozilla.com
website, a.k.a. the 'Learn More' page of the European Browser Ballot campaign, into Swedish.

Please see bug 546131 and https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Browserchoice for details and instructions.

We would love to get the translation back from you by Wednesday, February 24th.

Thanks!

I can't find Swedish in the list of languages in Verbatim: http://localize.mozilla.org/verbatim/projects/browserchoice

Hey Markus. I added your username to the Swedish locale, but I just noticed that we're using "sv" in Verbatim and "sv-SE" in browserchoice's code, which results in Verbatim not seeing the Swedish files :/

I'll ping Gandalf about this today.
Markus, can you try again? I think it should work now.
I've made all the translation work, but it seems like it won't sync with the staging server. I've tried:

http://browserchoice.stage.mozilla.com/?locale=sv_SE.utf8
http://browserchoice.stage.mozilla.com/?locale=sv.utf8
http://browserchoice.stage.mozilla.com

but no go.
Hey Markus,

You need to "commit to VCS" from Verbatim:
http://localize.mozilla.org/verbatim/sv/browserchoice/LC_MESSAGES/edit.html

Otherwise your translations are only in Verbatim but not in the SVN (nor on
stage). Once you commit, your translations will show up here:
http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/browserchoice/trunk/locale/sv_SE/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po and should be visible on stage after 15 minutes.
OK, thanks! By the way, it seems like some html-tags in Verbatim doesn't render correctly, where whould I file this? See the attached screenshot.

Good catch. Please file a bug here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Webtools&component=Verbatim
I just updated one of the strings through Verbatim, but when I click "Commit to VCS" this time I get the following error:

Failed to commit file: [SVN] Error running SVN command '['svn', '-q', '--non-interactive', 'commit', '-m', u'Commit from Mozilla Verbatim by user markus.magnuson@gmail.com.: 43 of 43 messages translated (0 fuzzy).', '--with-revprop', u'translate:author=markus.magnuson@gmail.com', '/var/lib/pootle/po/browserchoice/sv/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po']': svn: Commit failed (details follow): svn: File '/projects/browserchoice/trunk/locale/sv_SE/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po' is out of date
In such cases, go to http://localize.mozilla.org/verbatim/sv/browserchoice/ and click "Update all from VCS".

Explanation:
The error occurs because the file was changed in the SVN (probably by me, adding a string). You have to first import the changes from the SVN to Verbatim. Verbatim will automatically merge them with currently saved translations, so you'll not lose anything. It may ask you to review certain strings, however, which you should do before you commit back to SVN.

HTH
The live page needs to be synced again with the stage server, since I've made some changes in Verbatim that are not yet reflected.
Hey Markus,

Will do. Thanks.
This bug can probably be closed now, there are now further changes to the translation after several reviews.
Thanks, Markus, for putting so much effort into this. Marking fixed :)
