Confirmed with a fresh and clean profile for the current release Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 "Lesezeichen-Symbolleiste" means the Bookmarks Toolbar. Seams to be an old problem reintroduced: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365171 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92380

please better clarify steps. you delete a bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar with the bookmarks sidebar open, and both the bookmark in the toolbar and the focused element in the sidebar are deleted?
No, only the folder in the sidebar are deleted. The bookmark in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are NOT deleted.

I'll try to clarify the steps. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new and empty bookmark folder in the library, p.e. under the menu node. 2. Close library. 3. Make sure the bookmarks toolbar is visible and contains entries. 3. Open the bookmark sidebar with ctrl + b. 4. Select the newly created folder in the sidebar with a left click. 5. Move the mouse to an entry in the bookmarks toolbar. 6. Right click and select Delete. Result: The previous selected folder gets deleted. The entry in the toolbar remains. Expected result: The entry in the bookmarks toolbar gets deleted. The folder in the sidebar remains.

Yes, but the new headline does not correctly reflect this. "Right click on a folder in bookmarks sidebar does not correctly update the selected/focused item (ends up deleting the wrong bookmark)" Should be "Right click on an entry in bookmarks toolbar does not correctly update the selected/focused item (ends up deleting the wrong bookmark)"
