In order to keep authors better informed of what's happening with their add-ons in the review queue, I think the add-on status page should show the position the add-on currently has in the review queue. This will help the author get some idea of how the add-on progresses in the queue and how much longer to expect a review.

This position is ordered by date ascending?
Do you want to have any explanation of the number since editors may or may not follow the order of the queue?

Add-on #1 should be the one that has been waiting the longest, and it should say how many add-ons are in the queue ("10 of 450").

Yes, that'd be good. Something like "Keep in mind that add-on queues are not reviewed strictly in order, and the amount of reviewers working on the queues is also variable."

There is a strange type of dot at the end of the line. "Queue Position: 50 of 177 ·" Is this intended?

There is a dot separator after every info/link in that section. See http://screencast.com/t/d7ukBnSxnvxc
For some reason I don't see any links after the queue position indicator. So this dot looks a little odd at the end of the line.
<div class="version-status-actions item-actions">
<span class="dark" title="Queues are not reviewed strictly in order.">
Queue Position: 50 of 176 ·
</span>
<span class="version-changed">
Displayed version: 1.0
</span>
</div>
