In TB 3.0.2 a zoom-in pointer (magnifying glass with plus sign) is shown for inline graphics when the native image size is larger than the window.
The problem is that the image is not zoomed to the point where the image is clicked upon. Instead it expands the entire image showing the user the upper-left corner of the image. Example: given a large image with a person in it, clicking the zoom-in pointer on the person should show the person in the window.
See Firefox 3.5.8 (also built on Gecko 1.9.1.8) for correct behavior.
This behavior is seen in any TB 3.0.2 window (preview pane or tab, Inbox or Sent Mail).

Still true with TB 3.1 RC1. See Firefox v3.6.x for correct behavior.
