I got this while I was dragging 6 mails from one folder to another one. I had filtered my folder so only the emails I wanted to move were visible. And the view might have gotten updated while I was moving emails , by a new email arriving that was fitting my filters criteria

No overwhelming common theme in the crash comments.
There is however a small theme - having used quick filters, all 3 of these have email addresses

80-90% of the windows crashes have McAfee installed.
A sampling of those that do not indicate McAfee is installed:

Paul, do you still see this crash?
TB17 windows - random sampling of windows crashes, 6 of 8 list McAfee addon, like bp-85492575-5eb4-4f2d-ba92-878d52121219 - but majority of McAfee crashes are crsah bug 803460
non-windows - several mention they were closing thunderbird, like bp-a9ce443f-fa0c-4a54-85dc-c49832121111

No Wayne, I have not had this problem anymore in the past few versions. I'm now running 17.0, but I don't think it's crashed since TB14 or thereabouts.

I encountered this crash while entering a term in the filter textbox. Crash report can be found here: bp-699c286a-f89b-44f2-bc67-28dfe2130403 It's not reproducible for me.

mcote, emaijala,
I see your Thunderbird crash at bp-55188a3e-122f-4781-b0b7-0826b2131110, 593d524c-f866-400f-9377-990022131126 respectively.
Is this something you can reproduce?

No, I think it was just the once. Thunderbird rarely crashes for me...occasionally hangs when I try to exit, but that's about it.

Sadly, no. It's rare, but happens intermittently.
