User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 GTB6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100216 Thunderbird/3.0.2

This has occurred in both 3.0.1 and 3.0.2. I am using two different gmail accounts. The login dialog prompts me for a password on the first. I enter it and then the dialog loses focus. I have to then click on the dialog to get focus for entering the password for the second account. This did not occur in TB 2.x.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Set up TB with two accounts with passwords on each account
2.Start TB; The main window pops up with the login/password request for one account; enter the password and press enter.

Actual Results:
TB login dialog loses focus and does not regain focus until user clicks on the login dialog box.

Expected Results:
In TB 2.x, I would get a new request to enter the second account password with the flashing insert point in the dialog text box. This is what should happen but does not. It's frustrating to see a regression.

No special themes were used and no additional tabs were used. This is plain vanilla TB 3.0.2 with two email accounts.
I'm confirming this as I'm seeing focus issue when launching TB.

Whether or not we'd hold for this depends in large part on how hard it would be to fix. Standard8, do you have any feel for that?

I'm pretty sure this is another issue relating to bug 338549. If we don't fix that, then I'm guessing that to fix this standalone would require playing around with gecko modal dialogs.

Ludo, I've marked this as wanted+. It feels like more of a minor annoyance than something that fits into either of these buckets, however:

a) make the upgrade experience from TB2 very painful for a large number of users

or

b) be a new, reproducible, severe quality issue (eg dataloss, frequent crashes)

Do you disagree?

Ludo, feel free to renominate if you disagree with my analysis above. Mark, is your fix for the other password prompt likely to fix this?

This is fixed by bug 338549 and I think its close enough that I'll mark it as a duplicate.
