talkback let people who were logged in search by email address. socorro now lets me log in and see email addresses, but i can't search by them, which makes supporting customers incredibly painful.

dup of Bug 411410 - Need ability to query crashes by email - which should probably be reopened, because comment 3 is not accurate.

We should hold off on search enhancements until everything is in hbase.

Now possible with supersearch for logged in admin users. Example: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?email=gmail&product=Thunderbird&_facets=email

not working as far as I can tell. I put in my address and found no crashes. Also tried other addresses. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?email=vseerror%40lehigh.edu&product=Thunderbird&_facets=email&_columns=date&_columns=signature&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform should have found https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/50a88545-c15d-4657-9f1d-eabe12130919

well, partly works. But another that doesn't... https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?email=gmail&product=Thunderbird&_facets=email gives results. but go to email facet tab and click ponytail... to add this user to search form, and search results are empty.

looks like it searches only on term immediately following "@". For example ... "lehigh" works", it pulls up two crashes - https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?email=lehigh&product=Thunderbird&_facets=email&_columns=date&_columns=signature&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform "lehigh.edu" does not work, zero hits - https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?email=lehigh.edu&product=Thunderbird&_facets=email&_columns=date&_columns=signature&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform

Hey Wayne, So this is all expected behavior. I'm happy to read your feedback though, it will help me make this better. At the moment I am looking into elasticsearch and my code for a way to make all this work as you would expect it to. Bug 926874 will solve most of your problems, I'm thus closing this bug.
