Once we release Jetpack SDK 0.1, there will be lots of infrastructure that refers to "Jetpack", and it may be confusing to visitors: for instance: * Is the "Jetpack Gallery" comprised of extensions made with the 0.1 SDK, or the Prototype? * Is the repository at http://hg.mozilla.org/labs/jetpack the Jetpack SDK or the Jetpack Prototype? * Are the pages on the wiki under Labs/Jetpack relevant to the Prototype, the SDK, both, or neither? While it's not necessarily blocking 0.1 (see bug 549017), it is something we need to do soon after releasing 0.1, to avoid mass confusion and paranoia.
Also see bug 550214 comment 2 for suggestions on what to do with the wiki pages.
One potential solution for the HG repo ambiguity is to rename labs/jetpack to labs/jetpack-prototype, and have all labs/jetpack/* URLs redirected to labs/jetpack-prototype, if it's possible for IT to add 301's to hg.mozilla.org URLs. Once we're ready to tackle these issues, we should probably make individual bugs for each of these things (HG, wiki, gallery, etc.) and make this bug a tracking bug.
Another option for the HG repo at labs/jetpack is to *clone* it to labs/jetpack-prototype, and then replace labs/jetpack so it contains only a single file in its README.txt that points people to the SDK and prototype (or some page that tells them what's up). I sort of did the same kind of thing here: http://hg.mozilla.org/users/avarma_mozilla.com/jep-28/rev/5d601af850ac
On the wiki, for now I've made a template called "Jetpack/Prototype" that inserts a big red box telling the reader that the page is only relevant to the prototype. I've only tagged a few pages w/ this so far, but here's what embeds it right now: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Jetpack/Prototype

Is there any utility to leaving this bug open? I'm sure there are more things left to do, but it's not clear that this bug is tracking them.
The Add-on SDK is no longer a Mozilla Labs experiment and has become a big enough project to warrant its own Bugzilla product, so the "Add-on SDK" product has been created for it, and I am moving its bugs to that product. To filter bugmail related to this change, filter on the word "looptid".

We've done a bunch of work here (f.e. by renaming the SDK to Add-on SDK and explaining the meanings of these terms in the FAQ <https://jetpack.mozillalabs.com/faq.html>), and the differences between these terms are now sufficiently clear. Any remaining work should be tracked in separate bugs, one per issue.
