550906 - Message pane keeps reopening

If I disable the message pane then I have the Minimize to tray Plus Add-on installed all works fine.  But if I shut down the PC without exiting TB first, the next time I start Thunderbird the message pane reappears.  If I shut down TB before shutting the PC down then next time I start it all is fine and the message pane doesn't reappear.  And help for this?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Close message pane.
2.shutdown PC
3.restart PC and restart TB
Actual Results:  
message pane reopens even when set closed

Expected Results:  
Stay closed

This looks like bug 544269, although since that hasn't been confirmed, it may be a separate issue. If possible, mark this bug as a duplicate of that one.
