English:
If TB 3.0 is fresh started, I can't use the shortcut Ctrl-+ to zoom the message pane, it wont work. I have to use the menu View at least once, only then can I use the shortcut. I even tried a new profile, it still wont work.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.start TB
2.try using Ctrl-+ for the message pane, wont work
3.try the View-menu
4.repeat step 2, it works as it should
Actual Results:
Then it works
Expected Results:
It should work directly after TB starts, not only after a use of the menu View.

I don't understand why this is marked duplicate of a bug that has not been reported towards Thunderbird. Maybe someone from mozilla could elaborate on this.
This reference effectively renders bug handling at lower priority, I'm afraid, which is not appropriate. Nor is it's severity which should be raised to major since it's a big nuisance every time you stumble into it.

The issue isn't within Thunderbird. The Lightning add-on is overriding the Thunderbird code in a bad way and it is breaking Thunderbird's zoom options. Hence it is marked as duplicate of the Lightning bug.
If it was a different extension causing the issue, then this bug would be marked as invalid as other extensions are not in the bugzilla.mozilla.org database.
