Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Highlight some text in mozilla
2. Highlight some text in an xterm

Expected result:
The text highlighted in the xterm becomes the X clipboard and mozilla's
selection is unhighlighted.

Actual result:
Mozilla's selection stays highlighted.

This is a little confusing since X users have a strong tendency to think that
"highlighted text == 'what I get pasted when I middle-click'"

I agree: I'm forever being confused by this, not able to tell whether I really
have a selection (in the unix sense, i.e. owned by the clipboard) or not.

This is a subset of problems reported in 98984   - a partial dup.

This bug's target milestone is "Future" but 98984 (blocked by this) has a target
of 1.1alpha which is long overdue... Will something move with this bug?
