I would like a people account, e.g.:  http://people.mozilla.com/~jhammel

Please send any information about people accounts that I should know.  Should I send a ssh public key?  I normally don't use public keys + ssh, but can do so if that is the preferred procedure.

Yeah, people use key authentication. Once you've associated an ssh public key with your LDAP account (you can attach it here for IT to handle that), |ssh [e-mail]| will Just Work.
