I'm not sure about this, but would recommend it > UNCONFIRMED.
There is already a pref with UI for switching off indexing, which disables the Gloda search functionality (QuickSearch remains as option, so do server-side searches on IMAP). Removing the sqlite file physically when Gloda is disabled is asked for in bug 552764. Can you dupe if it's the same thing?
